Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Spain international Oscar Mingueza on a free transfer from Celta Vigo, subject to international clearance.
The 27-year-old defender has signed a four-year contract at Selhurst Park, becoming new head coach Pierre Sage’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
A graduate of Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy, Mingueza made 66 first-team appearances after making his senior debut in 2020. He moved to Celta Vigo in 2022 and went on to establish himself as a key player, scoring seven goals and registering 15 assists in 147 appearances across all competitions.
Speaking after completing the move, Mingueza said it was “an honour” to join Crystal Palace and admitted he is “really excited” to begin the next chapter of his career in the Premier League.
The versatile defender has earned four senior caps for Spain, although he was not included in Luis de la Fuente’s 26-man squad for this summer’s FIFA World Cup.

“His track record speaks for itself, with experience at the highest level for both club and country. We believe he will be a fantastic fit for Crystal Palace.”
Crystal Palace begin their 2026-27 Premier League campaign away to Everton on Saturday, 22 August.
