Bromley have strengthened their squad ahead of the new League One season by completing the signings of goalkeeper Shamal George and defenders Jacob Mendy and Chanse Headman.
The Ravens have continued an impressive start to the summer transfer window, with Headman joining from Harrogate Town for an undisclosed fee, while George and Mendy both arrive as free agents.
Goalkeeper George makes the move to Hayes Lane after leaving Wycombe Wanderers, where he made five appearances across two seasons. The 28-year-old also enjoyed a loan spell with Scottish Premiership side St Mirren last season, helping the club lift the Scottish League Cup.
A product of Liverpool’s academy, George gained valuable experience during loan spells with Carlisle United, Tranmere Rovers and Marine before joining Colchester United in 2020. He later moved to Livingston, making 80 appearances for the Scottish Premiership club before signing for Wycombe.
Defender Jacob Mendy joins Bromley following his departure from Peterborough United. The 29-year-old endured an injury-disrupted campaign last season, making 12 appearances in all competitions.
The Gambian international, who has earned three senior caps for his country, previously enjoyed a successful spell at Wrexham, playing a key role in the club’s back-to-back promotions through the Football League.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old defender Chanse Headman arrives from Harrogate Town after making 16 appearances during the second half of last season. Despite his efforts, Harrogate were unable to avoid relegation from League Two.
The trio become Bromley’s first four signings in just 24 hours following the arrival of midfielder Kamil Conteh from Bristol Rovers on Thursday, underlining the club’s intent as preparations continue for their first-ever League One campaign.
