Boreham Wood have completed the signing of experienced defender Tylor Golden on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Altrincham.
The 26-year-old arrives at Meadow Park after turning down a new contract offer from the National League side, opting for a fresh challenge ahead of the new season.
Golden made 82 National League appearances for Altrincham after joining the club from FC Halifax Town in the summer of 2024. During his time with the Robins, he established himself as a reliable and consistent performer in defence.
A product of the academies at Ipswich Town, Manchester City, Rochdale and Blackburn Rovers, Golden began his senior career with Wigan Athletic in 2017.
He has since gained valuable experience across the English football pyramid, enjoying spells with Salford City and Notts County before joining FC Halifax Town in 2022. During his time at The Shay, Golden made more than 80 appearances before earning his move to Altrincham.
Boreham Wood will hope Golden’s National League experience and defensive versatility will strengthen their squad as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
